Charlotte is a doctorally trained nurse and researcher with over a decade of experience in global health, HIV prevention, mental health care, program development and delivery, program development, strategic planning, education and capacity building, evaluation, health systems strengthening, curriculum development and research.
As an assistant professor of global health, her research focuses on the integration of mental health services in HIV care on the African continent. A widely published author, her expertise spans across 4 continents.
As a board certified clinician and certified mental health/psychological first aid instructor, she is committed to improving health outcomes of the communities she serves through advocacy, capacity building and education.
She has worked with international organizations consulting on mental health program development, assessing community needs and providing expert advise on mental health challenges faced by their workforce and the communities they serve.
